Jacquelyn L. Johnson (Jackie), 88, of Davenport, was welcomed into Heaven with open arms by her mother Dorothy, father, Roland, brothers William and Robert, sister-in-law, Jeanine, husband, Floyd, step-daughter, Vickie and grandson Steven, on Monday December 4, 2023.
Visitation will be Friday, December 8, 2023 from 4-7 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Private graveside services will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may go to the Community of Christ Church in Moline or the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.
Jackie was born on July 16, 1935 in Des Moines, Iowa, the daughter of Roland and Dorothy (West) Schulze. She married Lloyd Cunningham and to them five children were born: Douglas (Patricia) Cunningham, Diane (Craig) Matje, Deborah Wiles, David (Bridgette) Cunningham and Denise (Wayne) Perkins. She later married Floyd Johnson on January 8, 2005 in Moline, IL. He had two children, Vicki Bongovanni and Daniel (Mony) Johnson. Jackie is the loving grandmother to twelve, great grandmother to eleven and great-great grandmother to three.
Jackie graduated from Clinton Community College in 1973, starting her lifelong nursing career. She went back to school at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and graduated in 1982 as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) and retired from Anesthesia and Analgesia PC in 2004.
Jackie was an active member of the Community of Christ Church in Moline. She lived her life through the Lord. She had a strong faith and was called to be an Elder of the church. She was a counselor to the priest and spent years as an advocate for those in need. Known for her generosity, she never knew a stranger and would help them in any way she could. Jackie was a true disciple to her faith.
Jackie had a contagious laugh and beautiful smile that she will always be remembered for! She will be deeply missed by her loving family, whom she loved being with, her friends and her church family.
