

James Michael Goff, 69, of Bettendorf, died June 11, 2026, peacefully at Harmony Utica Ridge. In 2022, he was diagnosed with a stage 4 neuroendocrine tumor, a rare and incurable form of cancer. A private family service will be held. Burial will be at Davenport Memorial Park.
Jim was born on May 10, 1957, in Pittsburg, PA, the son of Joe S. and Gertrude (Brex) Goff. He married Jane Riepe Goff on October 27, 1984 at St. Ambrose Chapel in Davenport.
Jim graduated from Quaker Valley High School in Leetsdale, PA, where he was co-valedictorian. After earning his B.S. and M.B.A. degrees at Indiana University-Bloomington, Jim came to the Quad Cities to take his first job at Alcoa’s Davenport Works, where he served in various supply chain management roles from 1980-85. In 1985, he joined Star Forms in Moline, IL, where he took a break from the business world to work on John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
Jim and Jane enjoyed 41 years of marriage, which included traveling to more than 75 countries.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother William Goff, and nephew Kenny Goff.
He is survived by his wife, Jane; sister Mary Elizabeth (Ken) Milchick; brothers Thomas (Ingrid) Goff and John Goff; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Carolyn and Robert Gabrilson; nephews Danny Goff, Scott (Molly) Gabrilson, and Jeff Riepe; grand niece Anne Gabrilson; and grand nephews John and Peter Gabrilson.
