Davenport, IA Funeral services for James E. Wagner, 74, of Davenport, will be 1:00 pm on Thursday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Burial will follow at Pinehill Cemetery, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Thursday from 11:00 am to service time at the Mortuary.Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisting family with arrangements.James passed away on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at St. Anthony’s Continuing Care Center, Rock Island, IL.James Evans Wagner was born on November 19, 1936 in Davenport, the son of Arthur and Bernice (Robertson) Wagner. He married Edna Powers in Davenport in 1957. James worked at Priester Construction as a Purchasing Agent, then as an Accountant for Republic Electric for 15 years, Davenport, retiring there in 2002. He then worked at the Rock Island Casino as a cashier from 2002 to 2007.James enjoyed reading, photography, collecting stamps and magic.Survivors include his wife; Edna of Davenport, daughters; Debra (Henry) Plavak of East Moline, Tracy Salkil and Katrina George both of Davenport, sons; James (Kim) Wagner Jr. Bruce Wagner both of Davenport ,10 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and a cousin; Raymond Yoder of East Moline.He was preceded in death by his parents.Memorials may be made to the American Heart AssociationOnline condolences may be expressed to the family by visiting www.cunnick-collins.com
