Jane was born March 31, 1935 in Iowa City, the daughter of Frank and Eugenia (Mougin) Klein. She was a graduate of Tiffin High School. She married Donald Edward Doyle on September 3, 1955 in Iowa City.
A private family service will be held to honor Jane’s life, and burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery in Davenport. Weerts Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this time.
Jane was commonly referred to as “Grandma Jane” by many. She loved playing cards and bingo and was a friendly competitor. She enjoyed Wednesday euchre games at CASI and was a frequent shopper at their gift shop. Gift giving was her love language. If you were in her presence for any amount of time she would tell you a joke, or two, or three. She liked a good puzzle and word search book and carried a deck of cards with her everywhere she went. Jane had a great memory, was quick witted, and shared many “Jane-isms.” She loved to go out for tacos and enjoyed sporting Iowa Hawkeye gear.
She is survived by her children, Amy (David) DeAnda, Emily (Randy) McGee, Todd (Heidi) Doyle, and daughter-in-law Lori Doyle; grandchildren, Leanna Doyle, Justine Doyle, Keegan Doyle, Stephanie Bennett, Teddy (Kelsey) Bennett, Jr., David DeAnda, Jr., Devin DeAnda, Meagan (Andrew) Melton, Jacob McGee, Andrew Doyle, and Ryan Doyle; great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Zachary, Payton, Messiah, Trevor, Summer, Amelia, Meilani, Charlee, and Joshua.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Conan Doyle; her siblings, Carolyn (John) Moreland, Clayton (Katherine) Klein, Cletus (Marcella) Klein, Phyllis (Donald) Latta, Dorothy “Dozy” Seemuth, Frank (Beverly) Klein Jr., and Victoria McNeal; nephews, Tom Moreland, Jeff Latta, Gary Klein, Joseph Klein, Frank Moreland, and Keith Klein; and grandson, Derek DeAnda.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to the caring staff at Davenport Lutheran Home and Heartland Hospice.
