

Jane passed away on 17 November. A memorial service will take place at 2 p.m. Saturday, December 27, 2025 at Weerts Funeral Home; visitation will begin at 12 p.m. and conclude at the time of service. Jane will be laid to rest at Rock Island Memorial Park at a later date.
Jane was born in Moline in 1948, the daughter of William and M. Jean Wilson.
She was raised in Rock Island where she graduated from Rock Island High School in 1966.
She played violin and played in the junior high school and high school orchestras as well as the local youth symphony. She also was active in Rainbow Girls.
Jane graduated from Drake University in 1970 and married Richard Wahlstrand that year.
She is the mother of Cara Fah (Jamey) and Catherine (Kate) Salsberry (Jeremy,) grandchildren Mackenzie and Maxwell Fah, William and Walker Diaz and bonus grandchildren Alexandria, Katelin, Patrick, Connor and Tristan
Salsberry.
Jane was a substitute teacher in the Bettendorf school district and volunteer during Cara's and Kate's K-12 education. She worked at RIAFCU credit union for 20-years.
She was an accomplished seamstress and cook. Jane was a friend to many, and could always be counted on to help. Those who knew her appreciated her witty commentary.
Her greatest joy was her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, her two daughters, nine grandchildren and sister, Susan Wolfe.
She was preceded in death by her parents, as well as an infant grandson.
The family thanks the care staff at UnityPoint Trinity-Bettendorf and Clarissa Cook for their loving and compassionate care given to Jane in her final days.
