Janet M. Swearingen, 70, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, February 12, 2013 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held Friday, February 15, 2013 10:00 a.m. at Risen Christ Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to service at church. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Buena Vista. Memorials may be made to National Kidney Foundation. Runge Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.
She was born March 31, 1942 in Clinton, Iowa the daughter of Ralph and Leona (Fick) Grau. She was united in marriage to William Swearingen on December 31, 1987, he preceded her in death July 12, 1996.
Those left to honor her memory include her brother, Roger (Lucy) Grau, Grand Mound, Iowa, Floyd (JoAnn) Grau, Arizona, Ken (Bonnie) Grau, Maquoketa, Iowa; step-daughter, Jenny Swearingen, WI, Jessica Weiner, WI.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers, Less Grau & Bradley Grau.
