Jeff Norton, 40, of Davenport, died Thursday, March 31, 2011 at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Speedway Fire & Rescue Unit. Jeff was born April 3, 1970 in Davenport, the son of Raymond and Nancy (Hennings) Norton. He was currently working as a shipping and receiving clerk for Network Imaging Solutions. He was a volunteer firefighter for Speedway Fire and Rescue and enjoyed racing cars, bowling and darts. He also was a Model Lite racing champion.

Those left to honor his memory include his parents, Raymond and Nancy, Davenport, sister, Linda Strader, Andalusia, IL; brother, John (Kim) Norton, Davenport, nephew, Michael Strader, Colona, IL and his fiancé, Michelle Holden; nieces: Lisa Strader, Rock Island and her fiancé, Russell Terry Jr. and Kassidy Norton, Davenport; great nephew and niece, Brenden and Peyton Strader, one step niece and nine step great nephews and nieces. His brother-in-law, David Strader preceded him in death.
