June 27, 1956 – January 30, 2020
Jeffrey P. Huss, 63, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, January 30, 2020 after a long battle with health issues. A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 2pm at Weerts Funeral Home, 3625 Jersey Ridge Road, Davenport with a visitation will be one hour before the service. Memorials in Jeffrey’s name may be made to Alcoholic’s Anonymous to help those struggling with addiction.
Jeffrey was born on June 27, 1956 in Fort Worth, Texas. He grew up in Rochelle, IL and moved to Rockford, IL for a couple of years. He owned JPH improvement (carpentry) for long time. After a few years in Connecticut, Jeff moved to Davenport, Iowa in 2003 to care for his parents. Jeff worked as a customer service representative for 12 years as well. Jeff had a dry sense of humor and was a very good storyteller. He collected quirky and sometimes vintage items. Some of his favorite things were dolphins, Rocky Horror Picture and the Steelers. He could make anyone smile and laugh. Part of his wishes for his funeral is his ashes would be spread with his beloved cats ashes in his favorite spot near Pittsburg, PA. That will be done this summer.
Jeffrey is survived by his sister Nancy (Randy) Griffin; nieces Thomasina Jackson and Paula Jackson; and many great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Helen Huss.
