Jeffrey Lynn Miller, 63, of Eldridge, IA, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving family. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 10:30 am at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Davenport. Visitation will be Monday from 2-4pm at The Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Camp Courageous in Monticello, IA. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Jeff was born February 5, 1952 in Davenport; the son of Glen L. and Martha Miller. He was united in marriage to Judy Blocker on August 1, 1992 in Davenport. He worked at Northwest and East Locust Hardware and for Trinity Lutheran School; and after became owner and operator of Home Hardware. Jeff had his own radio show called Mr. Fix It on WOC 1420 am and WMT 600 am. He was known as the “Hardware Guy” by Paula Sands, appearing numerous times. He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, North Scott Rotary and Friends of Optimists. He enjoyed woodworking and coaching Little League baseball for his kids. He was known for being a prankster who had a warming sense of humor. Those celebrating his life include his loving wife of 22 years, Judy; his children: Eric (Kristi) Miller; Jeffrey Lynn (Jenn) Miller II; Chris (Jenny) Bernard and Cari LeGrand; brothers: Glen (Sally) Miller and Greg (Renee) Miller and grandchildren: Nolan, Bailey, Hunter, Morgan, Jeffrey Lynn III, Payton and Parker. His parents preceded him in death.
