Jeffrey A. Peterschmidt

There will be a visitation from 11am to 12pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory Davenport, IA. The funeral will be at 12pm Saturday in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow in Davenport Memorial Park. Condolences may be shared at www.rungemortuary.com.

Jeff was born August 6, 1956 in Davenport to Jack and Jackie Peterschmidt. The oldest of 5 children, he grew up in Davenport and relocated to Oregon in 1992.

Jeff worked for Freightliner Trucks for nearly 30 years until his retirement in 2017. His entire career was spent in the trucking business, everything from parts runner to Parts Manager. Once he relocated to Oregon to work at Freightliner Corporate offices, he was a customer service representative specializing in after-market parts support.

He loved classic rock and 90’s alternative music, but his favorite was the Beatles. The Three Stooges were another favorite along with TV shows from the 60’s and 70’s. Jeff was also a lifelong lover of muscle cars, having owned several over the years.

He is survived by his daughters, Kristy (Levi) Eckhardt and Shannon (Michael) Filicky, his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Gabriella, Jazmyn, and Tommy, his siblings, Steve (Gayle) Peterschmidt, Jill (Scott) Birmingham, Michael Peterschmidt and Amy Bramlett. Jeff had several nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents.
