Jennie Lutz

Jennie D. Lutz, 84, of Davenport, Iowa passed away peacefully on Monday, September 2, 2024 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf, Iowa. Services and burial will take place amongst close family per Jennies request.

Jennie was born on November 21, 1939 in Davenport, Iowa to Dale and Emmaretta Brewer. Jenny was one of 11 siblings. The oldest daughter. Jennie graduated from Davenport High School in 1959. Jennie married Kenneth W. Lutz on August 18, 1962. They went on to have 3 wonderful children.

Jennie enjoyed decorating, sewing, gardening, being outdoors and camping, traveling. She cherished her dinner dance nights with her husband, Ken, antiquing with her daughter, her ministry at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, and most especially, time spent with her family. She was best known as Nanny to her 4 grandchildren and her 3 great grandchildren, which were her greatest joy. Family was her life.

Jennie is lovingly remembered by her sons, Bret (Roy) of Davenport, IA and Kirk (Melissa) Lutz of Warrenton, MO. Son-in-law, Tom (Megan) of Davenport, IA. Grandchildren Lauren (Joe) McAdoo of Long Grove, IA, Keith (Sam) Hartwig of Long Grove, IA, Ellis (Demi) Lutz of Albuquerque, NM and Taylor Lutz of Warrenton, MO. Great grandchildren Harper and Hadley Hartwig and Wyatt McAdoo. Her many brothers and sisters, nieces, nephews and greats.

Jennie is preceded in death by her loving husband Ken, beautiful daughter, Jennifer, parents, Dale and Emmaretta and her nephew, Shaun.
