Jennifer Ann Watson, 58, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away Monday, July 12, 2021.

Cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held at this time. Online condolences may be expressed at

Jennifer was born April 10, 1963, in Peoria, Illinois, to Anthony “Tony” Yuhr and Cecilia “Dewi” (McManus) Yuhr. The family moved to Davenport when Jennifer was 3 years old, where she attended the local schools Garfield, Eisenhower, and Sudlow. Later, the family moved to El Paso, Texas, then onto Wurzburg in Germany for three years, and back to El Paso. She was married for 14 years and lived in Germany again, then Arizona, returning to Davenport, Iowa, in 1999.

She was a staunch animal advocate and rescued several furry friends. “Gotta Google” was her favorite thing and she could find anything or anybody in minutes.

She leaves behind her last rescue cat and faithful friend, Beau; her mother, Dewi; and her sister, Amy; along with three nephews and a niece of Virginia.

The family would like to say “Thank you” to the Genesis Hospice nurses.

I had known Jennifer from my high school days in El Paso Texas. Our lives went separate ways and we lost touch for a while but found each other again on Facebook. We talked often there, many heartfelt conversations. I will miss her. She was so young, I’m sorry she was taken away from this earth so soon, but I hope she’s in a much better place now.
