Jenny Paszek

Jenny Paszek, 75, of Davenport, passed away surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home, Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Sunday, June 10, 2012. Visitation will be Sunday from 11 am until the service, at the mortuary.

Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery .In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Hospice Compassus. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com

Jenny was born March 15, 1937 in Glen Rogers, WV, the daughter of Zena Ray and Maurice (Gunnoe) Bailey. She was united in marriage to Darwin Harry Paszek on July 23, 1988 and he died February9, 2012.

Jenny worked as a nurse’s aide at Ridgecrest in Davenport for nineteen years retiring in February 2004. She loved playing bingo and going “ching- a -linging” (gambling), but, her greatest joy was spending time with her kids who were her whole life. Jenny was a very strong and resilient woman who didn’t have a bitter bone in her body.

Those honoring her memory include her children: Sherry &Ken Brinkman, Summerville, SC; Darlene &Clyde Myers, Bunkerville, NV; Robert &Stacey Archer, Rock Island, IL; Michael &Amy Archer, Davenport, IA; Cindy& Jay Graham, Davenport, IA; sister, Drema & John Ekin ; brother, Tiny& Shelly Bailey, all of Davenport; grandchildren: Kim, Stacey, Josh, Jamie, Ryan, Chad, Tim and Tonia, several great grandchildren and her special companion, her dog, Pee Wee.

Her parents, son, Gary Bailey and a granddaughter, Tara Lynn Speidel preceded her in death.

The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for the loving care they extended to their mother, especially, Jamie ,Rhonda, Petie, and Beth.
