

Jerry Dean Bellman, 80, of Davenport, Iowa passed away on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at University of Iowa Hospitals. His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 10 at 11:00 am at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 9:00 am and go until the time of service. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be left to Calvary Church in Muscatine, Iowa.
Jerry was born on August 30, 1945, to Dean and Bernice Bellman in Bremerton, Washington. The family moved to Davenport, Iowa where he later graduated from Davenport West High School in 1963. He graduated from Iowa State University in 1969 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. He became general manager of Twin Bridges Mack Trucks, working there for over 35 years before retiring in August 2007.
Jerry was a member of Calvary Church in Muscatine, Iowa, since 1999. He was an avid golfer who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and boating with his friends and family. Every year, he traveled to Canada with his friends to fish. He could be found cheering on the Cyclones and the Cubs. He also loved to travel with his wife, Bea, whom he married on June 12, 1999 in Calvary Church.
Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Bea Bellman; his children, Eric Bellman and Tara Baze; his step-children, Dr. Teresa (Curtis) Crosier, Kayle (Scott) Ziegenhorn, and Newell (Lani) Seal; his grandchildren, Brandon (Allison) Baze, Alex Charlet, and Shelby Charlet; his step-grandchildren, Michael Hazelwood, Jessica (Robert) Sorrowfree, Jeff (Allison) Ziegenhorn, and Heather (Stephen) Cornwell; his great-grandchildren, Emmy Matthews, Ryleigh Matthews, Benjamin Baze; his step great-grandchildren, Alina Sorrowfree and Phoebe Cornwell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister, Bernie Bellman, many friends and his best friend and cousin, Tim Peterson.
