Jerry Jeff Hice

Jerry Jeff Hice, 86, of Davenport, IA, went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, November 17, 2022. He passed away at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House surrounded by his loving family. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Jerry was born January 12, 1936 to Jeff and Ethel (Parker) Hice in Paris, Arkansas. October 19, 1956 he was united in marriage to Sandra Paget in Bettendorf, IA. He joined the U.S. Army in 1953 and served his country for 10 years in artillery and in 1964 he became an employee of the Rock Island Arsenal until his retirement in 1988.

Jerry loved and cherished his family and the time spent with them. One of his biggest hobbies was searching for, and restoring, old antique cars with his son, Michael. The light of his life was his 3 year old granddaughter, Hazel Mae. Jerry loved camping trips with his family and traveling all over the United States. He was also an avid fisherman.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Sandra Hice; son, Michael Hice; daughter, Kimberly Harris; and grandchildren, Jeremy Hice and Hazel Mae Hice; all of Davenport, IA.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
