

Cremation will be done with a Celebration of Life to be held 1-4PM Sunday March 20, 2022 at the Star Light Ball Room Mississippi Valley Fair Grounds. Memorials may be made to the family and please share online condolences at www.rungemortuary.com.
Jimmy was born December 31, 1947 in Davenport, IA to Ernie and Dorothy (Keller) Speth. He was a 1968 graduate of Davenport Central High School. Upon graduation he was drafted into the US Army serving as an MP from 1968-70. He was immensely proud of his service to his country. In 1970 he was united in marriage to Vicky Bell, they divorced in 1990, and the Bell family continued to embrace Jim as family. Jim had been employed by US West Communications as a technician.
He enjoyed fishing with his family, racing stock cars, tinkering with his 1937 Ford, and attending antique car shows.
Jim is survived by his daughters Kelly (David) Howes and Lisa Juras; grandchildren Rachael (Brady) White, Sarah Simmons (Shawn Crowe), April Howes, Madison Juras, Mason Juras; sisters Maria (Pat) Kobelenske, Margie (Harold) Hansen, and Sue Speth-Terronez; nephews Mike Speth and Steve Speth; special friend Marge Warrington; and many other family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Ernie & Ray; grandson Caleb Juras; son in law Phil Juras, brother in law Lencho Terronez; niece Connie Noe; and longtime companion Sandy Schmidt.
