

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Joann M. Teeselink, 61, of Davenport will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 28, 2019 at St. John's United Methodist Church in Davenport. Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1st in the Peace Church Cemetery in Kewaskum, WI. The family will greet friends on Wednesday, February 27th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary in Davenport and from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Joann died at her residence on Sunday, February 24, 2019.
Joann Marie Granger was born on July 8, 1957 to Harold and Gerry (Crow) Granger in Moline, IL. She grew up in Coyne Center and Sherrard and graduated from Sherrard High School in 1975. Joann married Dean Teeselink on June 9, 1979.
She spent her young adult years working at Royal Neighbors of America. She then spent many years living her dream of a stay-at-home mom. She cared well for her kids and husband and volunteered and helped others however she could. She babysat, volunteered many hours to Grant Elementary PTA, J.B.Young Middle School, and with Central High School music programs. She spent her later years working as a baker at Greatest Grains health food store. She enjoyed baking, cake and cookie decorating, sewing, knitting, crocheting, needle work, flower gardening, furniture refinishing, chair caning, hosting family gatherings, and playing cards. She also enjoyed family camping trips and vacations. She was a member at St. John's United Methodist Church.
Joann fought Multiply System Atrophy (MSA) since 2014. MSA is a rare, degenerative neurological disorder that is debilitating, progressive, and terminal. She was cared for in her home by her husband, family, and close friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Dean; her mother Gerry of Davenport; her two children Lisa (Jameson) Roose of Pella and Matt (Catherine) Teeselink of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren Alice, Anna, Clara, and Levi Roose and Micah and Jude Teeselink; her siblings Joyce Sellers of Geneseo, Jim (Kathy) Granger of Milan, Carol (Paul) Lammers of Davenport, John (Terry) Granger of Davenport, and Cathy (Jon) Webber of Lenexa, KS; her brother-and-sister in-law Dave (Sheila) Teeselink of Sheboygan, WI and Renee Schrab of West Palm Beach, FL; nieces and nephews; friends and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Granger of Milan, and in-laws Lloyd and Evangeline Teeselink of Kewaskum, WI.
Memorials in her memory may be made to Friends of Vander Veer Park; to St. John's UMC (for the music program); or Davenport Schools (for their music or special education program).
