Joanne H. Dyer

Funeral services for Joanne H. Dyer, 79, of Davenport will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel, Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11:00 am until service time at the mortuary. Interment will be at Rock Island National Cemetery. Mrs. Dyer passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2017 at Manor Care – Utica Ridge, Davenport. Joanne Hilda Rumler was born on March 8, 1938 in Davenport, the daughter of Henry and Alfreda (Beuthien) Rumler. In February of 1975, she married Delbert H. Dyer. He preceded her in death in 2004. Joanne worked as a CNA at St. Katherine’s Nursing Center for over 20 years before her retirement. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mom, and grandma. She is survived by Children: Richard (Joette) VanDeWalle of Silvis, IL, Vickie (Jack) Peel, Michael VanDeWalle, Barbara Adams, Pamela (George) McWane, Ronald VanDeWalle, all of Davenport, 15 Grandchildren and 14 Great-Grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa VanDeWalle Weiland, a son, Edward “Ed” VanDeWalle, and four sisters, Helen, Ruby, Mary, and Delores.
