Funeral services for John C. Staver, 59, of LeClaire, IA will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport, IA. Inurnment will take place at a later date. Family will greet friends on Monday from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the mortuary. Mr. Staver died on Thursday, February 11, 2010, at Trinity Medical Center - Terrace Park in Bettendorf, IA.John Charles “Chuck” Staver was born in Hazel Green, WI on December 11, 1950, a son of John and Helen (Birkett) Staver. On August 12, 1972, he married Kristine L. Reisen in Dubuque, IA. Mr. Staver worked as a teacher for the Mississippi Bend Area Education Agency until his retirement in 2006.He is survived by his Wife: Kristine Staver of LeClaire, IA; a Daughter: Kris Marie (Christopher) Heyer of Cedar Rapids, IA; a Son: J.W. Staver of Davenport, IA; two Sisters: Judy (Tom) Manahl of Normal, OK, Joyce Halfhill of Dubuque, IA; a Brother: Bernard Staver of LeClaire, IA; two Grandchildren: Shelby and Jayden Heyer of Cedar Rapids, IA.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Karen Pickle and Kathy Specht.Memorials may be directed to the family.
