

Johnafa Lee, 58, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away peacefully Thursday morning, August 6, 2026, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving spouse, Susanne Manchester, and daughter, Shanisha Lee.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Private burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to his spouse, Susanne Manchester, or his daughter, Shanisha Lee. Johnafa Lee was born on November 21, 1967, in Rock Island, Illinois, to Mary and Johnnie Lee. In the fall of 1990, Johnafa met the love of his life, Susanne Manchester. Their relationship quickly blossomed, and together they built a loving family and shared 37 years of life, love, laughter, and memories.
Johnafa was a hardworking man who held many roles throughout his life, from factory work to construction. No matter the job, he approached his work with dedication and determination.
He had a love for sports of all kinds and spent many years competing in bowling, softball, and football. Johnafa also completed cosmetology school and especially enjoyed cutting the hair of his loved ones. He loved fishing and hunting, and, as many who knew him would agree, he never turned down a good beer.
Johnafa was a funny, loving, and genuine man who knew how to make people laugh. He had a special way of creating lasting memories and enjoyed sharing good times with the people around him. Above all, he cherished the life he built with his beloved spouse, Susanne, and the family they shared.
Those left to cherish Johnafa’s memory include his loving spouse, Susanne Manchester; his children, Sandra Litherland (Kyle), Michael Manchester, and Shanisha Lee; grandchildren, Sean Manchester, Brayden Litherland, Salena Litherland, and Sophia Manchester; his parents, Mary and Johnnie Lee; brothers, Bruce Lee and Leron Lee; and sister, Marsha Ross.
Johnafa was preceded in death by his grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
Johnafa will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him. His laughter, humor, strength, and the memories he created with those around him will remain in their hearts forever.
