Visitation will be Saturday, March 22, 2025, from noon until 2:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Services will follow at 2 pm at the funeral home. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Since education was important to Judy, memorials may go to the family to establish a scholarship in her and her husband, Tom’s name for the Davenport School system.
Judy was born November 18,1957 in Owosso, MI, the daughter of Bert and Maxine (Eldridge) Cunningham. She graduated from Owosso High School.
After dating for only a couple of months, she married Tommy J. Gott on September 27, 1975, in Owosso, MI. He passed away on November 15, 2009. She was a devoted wife, mother and “nana”.
She had helped her daughter Amy at Bella Tan in Maquoketa and also worked at Michael’s Craft Store. She loved crafts of all kinds. Her favorite holidays were Christmas and Halloween. Her passions included: cooking, baking, going antiquing, restoring antique furniture, gardening, camping, boating, painting, watching Western movies, and listening to music; particularly Fleetwood Mac, The Beatles and Bruce Springsteen. However, one of her greatest joys was attending the numerous events of her children and grandchildren over the years, showing her support with her “Cowbell.”
Judy was an animal lover and especially loved her dogs.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Kyle (Sara) Gott, Davenport, Shana Westmoreland (Brett), Ft. Worth, TX, Amy Gott (Jesse), Marion; grandchildren: Chanler (Christina), Kyla, Anthony, Emily, Jaden, Parker, Kendal and Bella; siblings: Jim (Linda) Cunningham, Salt Lake City, UT; Jan Moiles, Owosso, MI, Jeri Garcia, Cincinnati, OH and Jeff (Michelle) Cunningham, Owosso, MI along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Judy was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Randy Gott, nephew, Sean Cunningham and Tom’s parents, Albert and Carol Gott.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids along with the Hall-Perinne Cancer Center, Dr. Wood and his nurses for the wonderful care and compassion shown to Judy. Your kindness will never be forgotten!
