Judy Ann Wright

Per Judy’s wishes, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of her life will be held Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at Adventure Church from 2 – 4 pm. The address to the church is 6509 Northwest Blvd. Davenport, Iowa, 52806. Memorials may be made in Judy’s name to Adventure Church and online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com

Judy was born on October 22, 1945, in Davenport, Iowa, and attended West High School graduating in June of 1964. On December 19, 1964, she was united in marriage to Silas Wright and they enjoyed 61 years together. Judy loved God and family, lighting up every room she walked into with laughter and joy. During her tenure as homemaker and mother, Judy took on many roles including scout leader, camp coordinator and headed up the cheering squad at softball games for her two sons. Judy enjoyed hosting both large and small get-togethers with family and friends which often included her wonderful cooking and card games, earning her the title “Hostess with the Mostest.” If Judy gave you a nickname, you could rest assured she liked you. After raising their sons, Judy and Silas spent time traveling in their 5th wheel camper, taking care of her family (as she always did), and just spending quality time with people as she always made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. Judy became friends with everyone she met and will be missed by all.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband; children, James (Jackie) Wright and Jeffrey (Jennifer) Wright; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; and brother, John (Sue) Harrington.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, James and June Harrington.
