Karen A. “Tootie” Carlton, 62, of Davenport, died Thursday, August 19, 2010 at Genesis East Medical Center. Funeral services will be Monday, August 23, 2010 at 1:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Monday from 10:00 am until the service at the mortuary. Burial will be in National Cemetery, Rock Island. Memorials may be made to the family. Tootie was born November 13, 1947 in Scott County, the daughter of Anthony and Mary (Bertsch) Giebelstein. She was united in marriage to Lloyd Carlton in May 1995 in Davenport.

Her hobby was spending time with her family; especially with her sister, at Joanie’s Resale Shop.

Those left to honor her memory include her husband, Lloyd, son, Ricky, daughter, Sherri (Frank) Reyes, stepdaughter: Debbie and Darcy, grandchildren: Michael and Krystal (Amos), sisters: Joan Lueders, Shirley (Terry) Huff, Lorrie Giebelstein, Billie Yeargle and Jackie Reynolds, brothers: LeRoy “Butch” Giebelstein, Roger Giebelstein, Orville “Sonny” McCarl, Tony Giebelstein,Jeff (Diane) Giebelstein and several nieces and nephews. Her parents, granddaughter, Ashley and a niece, Stacy preceded her in death.
