Kazel M. Williams, 55, of Milan, IL passed away August 16, 2016 in Rock Island. Following cremation, a committal service will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery on Thursday, September 1, 2016 at 12:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend should meet at the Runge Mortuary by 10:30 a.m. on September 1, 2016. Kazel was born March 21, 1961 in Davenport, Iowa, the daughter of Horace and Eleanor (Scott) Collins, Jr. After graduating from Davenport Central High School in 1979, she served in the US Navy starting in February 1980.
She was an excellent seamstress, enjoyed cooking, shopping, styling hair, drawing and was a talented musician. She devoted the last twenty-plus years of her life to the care of her niece and nephew and was a devout Christian.
Survivors include her brother, Anthony (Cynthia) Collins, Sr., nephew, Anthony Collins, Jr., niece, Simone Collins and one aunt, Bonnie Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents and two favorite aunts, Helen and Daisy.
