Keith Myron Easton, 69, of Davenport passed away on Monday, May 29, 2023. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Weerts Funeral Home with a visitation one hour prior to services. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.
Keith was born on March 3, 1954 in Beach ND to Jim and Bernadine Easton. He attended school at Lincoln Elementary and Beach High school. After graduation in 1972, he worked various farm and ranch jobs until enlisting in the United States Army in 1974. He served in various locations during his 24 years as a serviceman, including, Germany, Korea, Ft Carson, Colorado, Ft Riley, Kansas, retiring in 1998 as a Master Staff Sergeant. He then moved to Eau Claire, WI. for a few years until he moved to Bettendorf, IA where he worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for almost 24 years, retiring as a Senior Human Resource Specialist in 2022. He married Gretchen Kage on June 19, 1982 until her death on June 15, 2007. He married Elmeda Card on November 1, 2008.
He is survived by his wife of 14 years Elmeda; his grandson Jacob Card; her family members, Michelle Card, Tallahassee FL. Michael Card, Milan IL; sister, Barbara (Dale) Pogar Bettendorf IA; her brother Richard (Carol) Lowe, Newark Valley NY.; his siblings, Edith (Jim) Huether, Wibaux MT., Ray (Lou) Easton, Holmen WI; Will (Linda) Easton, Milladore WI; Dean (Diane) Easton, Hastings MN; Vern (Katie) Easton, Medora ND; Mavis Clinton, Spokane WA; Del Easton, Fargo ND; Paul (Patricia) Easton, Athens, TN; and many nieces, nephews and multiple cousins.
He was preceded in death by his first wife Gretchen; parents, Jim and Bernadine Easton; one brother Herbert Easton; one nephew Ryan Beggar and two brothers in law, Ron Beggar Sr. and Rue Cale.
