Kenneth Earl Hearn Sr.

Kenneth Earl Hearn Sr., 64, of Davenport, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2026, in Davenport. Cremation rites will be provided. A celebration of his life will be Friday, October 2, 2026, at 2:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to his family.

Kenneth was born in Memphis, TN on March 5, 1962, to Willie and Willa Mae (Dandridge) Hearn. He met the love of his life, Linda Cagle, in January 1989, and they have been together ever since. Specializing in hospitality, he worked as a supervisor at the Holiday Inn in Moline for several years.

When he wasn’t working, he could be found watching football (especially the Steelers), basketball (especially Golden State Warriors), and often, a raucous could be heard throughout the home. His proudest achievement was being able to coach football for his sons, who played for the Little Rock football team while in elementary school.

Being family oriented, Kenneth was the glue that held the family together. His favorite times were celebrating holidays together and was known for his fabulous decorating for the Christmas holiday. His many grandchildren meant the world to him, and he was able to spend quality time with them throughout the years.

Those left to continue his legacy include his wife, Linda; children:

Shontell Cagle, Troy Cagle (Jessica Cole), Deashantae Hearn, Troy Cagle (Jessica Cole), Kendrick Hearn, Chakendra Hearn, Kenearl Hearn Jr. (Jackie Tate) and Trezzie Robinson; numerous grandchildren, one great grandchild, siblings: Shirley Hearn, Marjorie Washington, Ronald Hearn, Willie Hearn, Katherine Hearn and Travis Hearn along with numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Kenneth was preceded in death by siblings, Bettie Hearn, Arnold Hearn, Rita Hearn and Charles Ray Hearn.

The family would like to extend a special and heartfelt thank you to his nephew, Eric Bonner, for the loving care shown to Kenneth throughout his life. Your kindness will never be forgotten!
