Kenneth Eugene Rhoades

Kenneth E. “Dusty” Rhoades, 95 of Blue Grass, Iowa passed away Thursday, May 18, 2023. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 27, 2023 at 1:00 pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in Davenport, Iowa. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow services at the Blue Grass Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials in Kenneth’s name may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com

Kenneth was born on April 11, 1928 in Douglas County, Missouri to Johnny Preston and Martha Rhoades. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Kenneth owned and operated Rhoades Body Shop in Davenport for close to 30 years. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed many days playing golf at the Muscatine Municipal golf course in Muscatine with his buddies and many golfers.

Those left to honor his memory are his wife Arlene Uitermarkt; children Connie (Robert) Gillen, Terry (Carol) Rhoades, Garry (Shirley) Rhoades; step-children Dean, Pam, Daryl, Mike, Mark, and Matt; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; 16 step grandchildren; 15 step great-grandchildren; and his sisters Florence Clinkingbeard and Nola Lance.

He was preceded in death by his first wife Opal Arlene "Dolly" Rhoades and his parents.
