Kenneth L. Terry, 73, of Davenport, Iowa passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, August 12, 2021. Per his wishes cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday August 23, 2021 at Weerts Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at Rock Island National Cemetery.
Kenneth was born on November 15, 1947 to Kenneth and Norma (Gravert) Terry in Davenport, Iowa. He joined the United States Navy and served during The Vietnam War as a Sonar Technician. When he returned from the war he married Joyce Poland in Las Vegas, NV. Kenneth worked for French & Hecht as a Tool and Die Maker from 1968 to 1989. Kenneth then went to work for the Rock Island Arsenal as a Hydro pneumatic Systems Mechanic where he retired in 2012. He loved stock car racing and his beloved dogs throughout the years.
Those left to honor his memory are his children Lisa (Lance) Groves and David Terry; grandchildren Austin Terry, Dallas Groves, Christopher Morrow, and Breanna Gearhart; great-grandbabies, Brody, Aaliyah, Jaxon, Natalie, Raelynn and Maddison; brother Steve (Donna) Terry; nephews, Joe and James along with many cousins; his beloved dogs Little Man Two and Teddy; and Family friends,the Setser Family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his girlfriend Vicky Setser.
