A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 8, 2024 at 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at Runge Mortuary. A private burial will be held on Tuesday.
Kimberly was born on April 9, 1963 to Robert and Carole (Johnson) Woods in Omaha, Nebraska at OFFUT Air Force Base. Kimberly attended Bettendorf High School and obtained an associate degree at Clinton Community College and had been studying for a degree in physical therapy.
Kim was united in marriage to John Kehoe in 1991 and was blessed with a son and daughter, Colton and Dallas. She was employed to research and design manuals for agricultural equipment for many years.
Kim was very patriotic, given her background as an “Air Force Brat”. She was honest, courageous, strong willed, loving and always put everyone else’s needs before her own.
Her love for her dogs was immense and she enjoyed activities outside, whether it was outdoor concerts, kayaking, motorcycling or doing home improvement projects.
Kim was also involved in Mixed Martial Arts, where she won many fights and became an incredible athlete. In and out of the ring she was courageous and honorable.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Colton (Kehoe), her mother Carole Woods, sister Dana (Todd) Akers, brothers Robert and Jeffrey (Kristie) Woods, Nephews Triston and Cade Akers and Niece, Mackenzie (Akers) Authom, her two beloved dogs, Ninja and Trumper, and her very close friends Vickie and Brenda.
Kim was preceded in death by her daughter Dallas and her father, Robert E. Woods, and ex-husband John Kehoe, with whom she remained friends.
A special thank you to the entire staff at Genesis Medical Center and Runge mortuary for making her journey bearable.
