

Kourtney Lytle, age 47, passed away on June 14, 2026. Born March 14, 1979, Kourtney was a lifelong resident of Davenport, Iowa. He was the youngest of three children born to parents Linda (Sparks) and Russell Lytle.
Kourtney graduated from West Davenport High School and soon entered the workforce. He worked as a Server at the McDonald’s on 53rd Street for 10 years, where his outgoing nature and steady presence were appreciated by those who knew him.
A cherished part of his family’s everyday life, Kourtney found joy in the things he loved most. He enjoyed video games of many kinds, including Call of Duty, Mortal Combat, and Zelda. He was also a devoted fan of horror movies and especially enjoyed going out to the movies with his family. He was a big fan of wolves, and he looked forward to birthday trips to Hooters, where he admired “pretty girls.”
From the age of seven, Kourtney was involved in the Special Olympics, an enduring commitment that reflected his enthusiasm for sports and connection. Over the years he played a wide range of sports—swimming, volleyball, tennis, bowling, dodgeball, bocce ball, snow shoeing, skiing, and more—and earned numerous 1st and 2nd place medals. Kourtney is being honored in the opening ceremony of the Special Olympics on June 20th.
Kourtney is survived by his mother, Linda Lytle; three brothers, Russell (Julia) Lytle, Kevin (Nikki) Lytle, and Bunky (Nikki) Harvey; nieces and nephews, Mark, Emmie, Austin, Jasmine, and Kaylee; special uncles, Bill (Shirley) Sparks and family, and Robert (Sherry) Lytle and family; and his cousin, Jennifer (Mike) Price.
