A celebration of life visitation for Kyle A. Nehlsen, 32 of Rock Island will be held Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 11:00am to 1:00pm at Weerts Funeral Home in Davenport. Honoring Kyle’s wishes cremation rites have been accorded and burial will take place at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Rock Island County Animal Shelter. Kyle died unexpectedly Monday, January 10, 2022 at his home in Rock Island.
Kyle was born on February 11, 1989 in Davenport to Daryl and Louella (Wright) Nehlsen. He graduated from Davenport West High School and went on to work at John Deere Moline and various CNC Operator positions. Kyle’s final workplace was with PB Leiner as an Environmental Technician.
Kyle enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle. He loved spending time with his family playing cards and games; he loved his family whole heartedly. He enjoyed bowling, sports and playing video games; there was not a bowling alley he didn’t love. Kyle was an avid Nascar fan and loved cruising in his “monster” truck. He enjoyed many years of performing in show choir and competing around the country. He loved his pets Ava, Zander and Rocco. Kyle was known for his loving and kind nature. He would always put others before himself and he will be missed by many.
Survivors include his parents, Daryl and Louella Nehlsen of Davenport, IA; brother Shane Nehlsen of Waterloo, IA; sister Michelle (Ron) Coppola of Media, PA; and numerous loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, two uncles, aunt and cousin.
