

Larry Fisher, 70, of Davenport passed away Friday, Nov. 2, 2012, following a battle with pulmonary fibrosis at Genesis West Medical Center. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, at Runge. Larry was born Oct. 15, 1942, in Davenport, the son of Loyd and Mary Dumoline Fisher. He united in marriage to Dawn Kinley on June 25, 1977, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa.
Larry was an avid hunter. He enjoyed camping and racing, especially watching NASCAR. Larry was a devoted grandfather, and loved spending his winters in Alabama. He owned Fisher Test and Balance for 17 years and retired in May 2005. Larry is a retired member of 45 years to the Sheet Metal Workers Local Union 91.
Larry is survived by his wife, Dawn Fisher, Davenport; two sons, Dan (Tricia) Fisher, Sherrard, and Toby (Sonya) Fisher, Davenport; three daughters, Tracy Kinley-Fisher, Davenport, Julie (Kevin) Keimig, Davenport, and Kelly (Dannie) Hughes, Fairhope, Ala.; 16 grandchildren; one expected great-grandchild; three sisters, Clara (Richard) Myers, Glen Ellyn, Ill., Doris Porth, San Antonio, Texas, and Edith Nelson, De Pere, Wis.; several nieces and nephews, and several hunting buddies.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Ray Scratcher; and special hunting partner, Charlie Spriet.
