Larry David Hergert

Larry D. Hergert, 78, of Davenport, passed away with his loving family at his side on Friday, April 21, 2017. A celebration of life will be held at 4PM, Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be held from 1PM until service time at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family. Per his wishes cremation rites will be accorded. He will be laid to rest in Cable Cemetery, Illinois. Memorials may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Larry was born on May 11th, 1938 in Mercer County, Illinois the son of David and Dorothy (Perkins) Hergert. Larry was a graduate of Sherrard High School. He was formerly married to Mary Woodford, the mother of his children. Larry was a professional photographer, entrepreneur, and longtime business owner of the Larry Bob’s Oasis. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, shooting pool, and spending time with friends. Those left to honor his memory include his children, David (Paula) Hergert Lewisburg, TN, Michele Towry, Fayetteville, TN, and Elizabeth Brandt Mesa, Arizona; siblings, Daryl (Pat) Hergert, Iona Schnowske, Dwight Hergert, Dixie (Bob) Volk, Dale (Laurie) Hergert, Joanie Hergert, and Marcia (Joe) Schissel; grandchildren, great grandchildren, and many more relatives. Larry was preceded in death by his parents.
