Larry O’Haver, 75, of Davenport, passed away on Thursday December 29, 2022 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday December 31, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Private burial will take place at Pine Hill Cemetery. Memorials may be left to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital or St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. Larry was born on March 24, 1947 in Waterloo, IA to Melvin and Helen (Bybee) O’Haver. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1966 to 1969. Larry earned his associates degree in electronics from Scott Community College. Larry was united in marriage to Rosemary “Rosie” O’Connor on June 26, 1971 in Davenport. Larry previously worked for AM International, as a Field Services Representative, retiring in 2009. Larry was best known for his ability to fix anything. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeyes and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed listening to Rock-N-Roll music.
Larry is survived by his loving wife Rosie; son, Daniel O’Haver of Davenport; in-laws Thomas (Marcia) O’Connor, Dennis (Diannia) O’Connor, Carol Ann (Paul) Eccleston, Joseph (Melissa) O’Connor, Mary Ellen (Joseph) Metzger, John (Elaine) O’Connor, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Bonnie Welchman and brothers, William S. and Melvin Leon O’Haver.
