Laurie L. Sparbel

Laurie L. Sparbel, 54 of Davenport, IA, after a two year battle with cancer, passed away surrounded by family on August 24, 2026. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on September 5 in the Runge Chapel. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Laurie was born on February 2, 1972, to Richard Nusbaum and Nanelle Lane in Marshalltown, IA. Laurie graduated from Marshalltown High School and got a bachelor's degree in marketing and accounting from the University of Iowa. She was united in marriage to Aaron Sparbel on August 23, 2020. She worked at Hy-Vee for 25 years and later for REMAX real estate.

Laurie enjoyed fishing with her husband, grilling, partying and spending time on the beach in Florida which she called “beach therapy”.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Aaron Sparbel; Children Alyssa (Minh Le) Miller, Julie Sparbel-Lampo, Jordan Miller; parents Richard (Laurie) Nusbaum, Nanelle Lane; sister Katie Nusbaum; grandchildren Elliot Lampo, and Gwen Le.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
