A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on September 5, in the Runge Mortuary & Crematory Chapel. A visitation will be held from 12:00 pm until the service time. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.
Laurie was born on February 2, 1972, to Richard Nusbaum and Nanelle Lane in Marshalltown, IA. Laurie graduated from Marshalltown High School and got a bachelor's degree in marketing and accounting from the University of Northern Iowa. She was united in marriage to Aaron Sparbel on August 23, 2020. She worked at Hy-Vee for 25 years and later for REMAX real estate.
Laurie enjoyed fishing with her husband, grilling, partying and spending time on the beach in Florida which she called “beach therapy”. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband, Aaron Sparbel; children, Alyssa (Minh) Le, Julie Sparbel-Lampo, and Jordan Miller; parents, Richard (Laurie) Nusbaum and Nanelle Lane; sister, Katie Nusbaum; and grandchildren, Elliot Lampo and Gwen Le.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents.
