

Leanne Kay Holden, 52, of Bettendorf, passed away at her home on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 in Bettendorf. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 7, 2012 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 4:30 pm until 7:30 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice. Leanne was born February 24, 1959 in Davenport, the daughter of Earl “Jack” and Ruthann (Walton) Luetje. She was united in marriage to Paul J. Holden on December 15, 1979 in Long Grove, Iowa. She worked for Ruhl & Ruhl for many years and together with her husband, owned and operated Edstrom’s Carpet and Interiors since 1999.
She had a passion for cooking and would spend endless hours finding just the right recipe for her family. She also enjoyed gardening, her dogs and collecting Longaberger baskets. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She also was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church
Those left to honor her memory include her husband of 32 years, Paul, Bettendorf; daughter: Courtney Holden, son, Griffin Holden; daughter, Maggie Holden, all of Bettendorf; her parents, Jack and Ruthann Luetje, Davenport; sisters, Laurie (Terry) Manley and their family of Lodi, WI and Lynelle (Corey) Anderson and their family of Eldridge, IA.
Her sister Lindy Brown preceded her in death.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses for the exceptional care they gave to Leanne and also extend a special thank you to Kathi from Heartland Hospice for her excellent care shown to Leanne and her family during her illness, your kindness will not be forgotten!
