Leona "Lee" Mae Jacks

Memorial services for Leona “Lee” M. Jacks, 84, of Davenport, will be held at a later date. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Mrs. Jacks passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012 at St. Mary Healthcare and Rehab Center in Davenport. Inurnment will be held at a later date at the Rock Island Arsenal National Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements. Leona Mae Swafford was born on September 29, 1928 in Cobden, IL, the daughter of Roy and Brooksie (Howell) Swafford. On May 8, 1956, she married Alvin K. Jacks in Anna, IL. He preceded her in death in 1984. Mrs. Jacks worked in retail and as a Tupperware sales woman. First and foremost she enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren. She was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Davenport. She is survived by a Daughter: Sharon Fallon of Bettendorf, IA; a Son: Keith (Nancy Moore) Jacks of Davenport; a Step-Daughter: Connie (Jack) Pond of Davenport; a Step-Son: Dan Jacks of Davenport; 8 Siblings: Nadine Campbell, Norma Vaughn, Oscar (Joyce) Sanders, Willy Sanders, Roy Jr. (Kay) Swafford, all of Anna, IL, Marty (Robert) Ford, Patty (Richard) Lence, Pammy (Joe) Moore, all of Cape Girardeau, MO; 5 Grandchildren: Chad Singer of Bullhead, AZ, Raquel Speetzen of Bettendorf, Corey Singer of Moline, IL, Heather (Jim) Shepherd of Bettendorf, Ryan Jacks of Davenport; 6 Step-Grandchildren; 18 Great-grandchildren; 4 Great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a Son: Corey Jacks; Sisters: Mary Lou, Ruth, and Rosie; and Brothers: Genie, Arthur, and Norman.
