Lillian Gluba

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM. on Monday, December 1, 2025 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel, 838 E. Kimberly Rd., Davenport. Lillian will be laid to rest, with her husband, Patrick H. Gluba in the National Cemetery, Rock Island, Illinois.

Lillian Gluba was born in East Prairie, MO, on October 29, 1939. She was the daughter of Gilbert and Bessie (Laxton) Smith. She was united in marriage to Patrick H. Gluba, on August 22, 1960, in Davenport, IA. In 1970, after Lillian and Patrick had been prayerfully searching, they made their choice to serve God and each stayed faithful the rest of their lives. Lillian was a loving wife, and mother to her 5 children, and devoted her life to loving God, her husband, and her family.

Lillian is survived by 2 siblings, Loretta Grove, and Huey Smith (Jackie); and her 5 children, Marilyn Christiansen (Eric), Brenda Papendorf (Stanley), Patrick Gluba (Nannette), David Gluba (Heather), James Gluba; 13 Grandchildren, and 5 Great Grandchildren, and extended family members.
