Linda Jean Allender

Linda Jean Allender, 56, of Peoria, formerly of the Quad Cities, passed away Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at her home. A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, August 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm at the Dedicated Few Christian Church, 4401 7th Avenue, Rock Island, IL. A luncheon will follow at Bottom’s Up, 1814 7th Street in Moline, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com.

Linda was born September 12, 1958 in Rock Island, the daughter of Ruby Romine. Linda was a homemaker who had a passion for music and fashion. Linda dedicated her time to her only son.

Those left to honor her memory include her son, August Allender, Hillsdale, IL; grandchildren: Aniya Renee; Nathaniel James Cole, Lavender Jean, her mother, Ruby Romine, Burlington, IA; siblings: Donald Allender, Robin Scott, Luna Nitzel, Alicia Sherwood and Teresa Wells and their families all of the Quad Cities and many others that were considered family. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Adam Christopher Allender, sisters, Maria Vasquez and Wanda Nickason and her soulmate, Curtis Jenkins.
