Linda Lou (Chanez) Geiken, 87, of Davenport, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Ridgecrest in Davenport. A memorial mass will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Thursday, February 29, 2024 at 10 am.
Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to the American Diabetes Association or the church.

Linda was born in Davenport on January 28, 1937. She was the daughter of George A. and Cresenta (Hiegel) Chanez. She married Delbert Geiken on August 22, 1981 in Davenport. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2005.
She graduated from Maryknoll College in New York and served as a nun for 17 years. She then moved to Tanzania where she taught school for seven years. She moved back to this area in 1972 and worked at Kmart in Davenport and H&R Block until her retirement. She was a member of Sacred Heart Church and an avid volunteer for various organizations.
Those left to honor her memory include her sister, Cleo, Rock Island, sister-in-law, Pat; brother-in-law, Don and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death are her parents, husband, and siblings: Mary Ann, Suzanne, Georgia and Robert.
