Linda was born on June 17, 1949, in Moline, Illinois to Roy and Minnie (Plough) Jones. She was blessed with a 40+ year union with Ralph Nesseler. Having known each other since they were kids, they reunited as adults and created a beautiful life together. She was a business owner and took much pride in her work. Her hobbies included pool leagues, antiques and light gardening. You could often find Linda listening to music (probably the Beatles) w/ a cold Diet Pepsi always in hand.
She spoke her mind, loved fiercely, and always reminded her children to never forget who they are. She was a proud mama bear who told anyone who would listen how beautiful her children are. Linda will be remembered to be a strong-willed woman who was not scared to stand up for her beliefs and an accidental collector of people. She treated everyone like family and was like a second mom to so many. One of the biggest philosophies she lived by was the practice of nobody is better than anyone else. This belief made her exceptionally comfortable to be around. It could be described as a perfect blend of brutal honesty served with only good intentions and love. These are the things that made her human and the things that made her so very special.
We are going to miss her but take humorous comfort that she is now our brother’s problem as we are certain he met her the moment she passed. We find solace knowing she is reunited with Kelly and Mike. There will not be a day that goes by where we won’t hear her voice in our heads telling us to stand tall and remember who we are.
Those left to cherish her memory include the love of her life, Ralph Nesseler; her girls, Christine Scott, Gina Malone, Mindy (Roberto) Medina; daughter in law, Stacey Attwood; grandchildren, Jeremy (Ashlie) Reyes, Andrew (Rebecca) Reyes, Kristoffer (Jessy) Reyes, Chelsie Reyes(Christopher), Zodi Ozium Attwood, Zach (Amanda) Attwood, Caitlyn (Tanner) Nagel, Roberto Isaiah (Genesis) Medina, Isabelle Medina, Ben Medina, Maya Starr Saucedo, Molly Moravetz; great-grandchildren include Travis, Jeremiah, Brantly, Rylee, Niyelly, Victor, Yiselle, Dylan, Sergio, EmeryChristine, Annabelle, Jeremy Jr. Paisley, Dutton, Esme, Aislinn and Sage.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Kelly Malone; son, Michael Attwood, and grandson Nicholas Attwood, and many close friends and family. We take comfort knowing that she has been reunited with all of them.
