Lisa D Buckles Lewis, 48, of Milan, IL, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014 in Milan, IL, after an extended illness. As she wished, cremation rites will be accorded. A celebration of life will be held on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 12:00 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, at the mortuary. Inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Upon Lisa’s wishes, memorials may be made to the Quad City Animal Welfare Center in Milan. Lisa was born November 10, 1965 in Cedar Rapids, IA; the daughter of Ken and Mary Buckles. She attended West High School where she was active in sports. Her favorite sport was swimming at West as well as the Aquathletic Swim Club that her father owned.

Survivors include her husband, Lyle, Milan; mother, Mary, brother, Mike, both of Bettendorf; aunt and uncle, Bob and Ruth Mortland, Andalusia and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews around the country. She will be especially missed by all the animals, including, cats, dogs, strays or pedigree that she fed and walked and showed so much care for and got so much pleasure from. She was preceded in death by her father.
