Lois Evelyn Kammer-Ploog

Lois Evelyn Kammer-Ploog, 68, of Davenport passed away on Monday, July 11, 2016 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 12:00 pm on Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolence can be left at www.rungemortuary.com. Lois was born to Oswin and Muriel Kammer on June 5, 1948 in Davenport, IA. In 1966 she graduated from West High School in Davenport, IA. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from St. Ambrose College and later a Bachelor’s Degree in BA from St. Ambrose University. Lois was a hard worker first at Walgreens then her dad’s welding shop, Sivyer Steel, Ralston and JI Case. She married Dick Ploog in 1974. She gave birth to Haely in 1977, the proudest day of her life. She loved the Lord and her church but health problems kept her from attending weekly. Lois was the best grandma there ever was for Joseph and Jacoby and loved going to NW Park to watch Little League baseball. She was loved by all and will be missed forever by Dick, Haely, Joseph, Jacoby, brothers Lyle (Kris) Kammer and Eldon (Sam) Sanders, sister-in-law, Jan Sanders, and nieces and nephews.
