Lois E. Lee, 89, of Bettendorf, Iowa passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020 at home with her family by her side. A visitation will be held on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 10am -12 pm at Weerts Funeral Home. Lois was born October 15, 1931 to George and Myrtle Gault on their family farm in rural North Dakota. During college she met the handsome William Lee and they were married on June 13, 1953; he preceded her in death in 2014. Lois was a proud homemaker. She loved to bake, cook, and entertain friends and family no matter the celebration. Lois was also a wonderful caretaker to various family members whenever they needed care. She loved watching various sports on TV, most of all the Iowa Hawkeye Basketball teams. Whenever Lois had the chance, she would talk friends and family into a game of SKIPBO, but watch out, she was the Queen of SKIPBO and could beat just about anyone.

Those left to honor her memory are her children Scott (Patty) Lee and Sheri (Bill) Bonsall; grandchildren: Celeste Hartwell, Gwendolyn (Todd Robert) Lee, Stacy Bonsall, Jay Lee, Tyler Bonsall, Ashley Pekios, Michael (Megan Mauer) Pekios, and Kimberly (Barrett) Pribyl; and her great-grandchildren: Alex, Lucas, Isaac, Olivia, Camryn, Ashlynn, Mia, and Melina.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Shelly Pekios, grandson Stephen Pekios, and sister Dolores Weiss.

I was Lois and Bill's neighbor when they lived at Ocean Harbor on Fort Myers Beach. We also attended the same church. I remember Lois as a warm, loving friend and Bill also (what beautiful voice he had).

My condolences to the the family. May God bless you with His peace and comfort in your time of grieving.

I am so sorry to hear of Lois's passing. She was a kind and loving person who always tried to be the best possible version of herself in everything she did, and to bring that out in the others around her. My deepest sympathies to Scott, Patty, Sheri, and all the rest of her family and friends. I trust that Grandma Lois, Shelly, and Bill (and Schultzie) are reunited and taking care of each other in love once more.

I was so saddened to see about the passing of Lois. I did not realize until today that she had passed. I met Lois when I was representing Shelly right before Shelly passed and we occasionally communicated on FB (I no longer an on FB). She was a lovely lady and such a great mother and grandmother. I cannot imagine the extent of your loss. I am sure she is in heaven reunited with Shelly and Bill. God Bless you all. Maria Waterman

Wonderful family memories. You could always count on a good time at Uncle Bill and Auntie Lois's home. Kids, games, and delicious food and treats. Auntie's Carmel Nut Rolls or without the nuts. Always laughter and fun. One favorite memory is Auntie and her "weiner" dog. She taught Schultzy how to speak. Was Auntie speaking dog or Schultzy speaking English??? Either way, was hilarious to watch both. Love and condolences to the Lee family.

Scott & Patty, I'm sorry for your loss . Lois was a very sweet lady, and it's obvious she loved her family very much. My memories are of good conversations with her at Pleasant View events, and also of her beautiful smile. Mike and I will be praying for you.
