Mae Louise Mech was born on September 7, 1952, the adopted child of Fred and Louise Casper. She went to heaven on September 11, 2026, at the age of 74 after a life well lived. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, daughter Sara, and brother David. She was married 53 years to her loving husband, George Mech, and survived also by her daughter April (Cory) Rauch; three grandchildren Lilith, Isla, and Liam (known to them as Oma); two brothers Richard (Caroline) Casper and Steven Casper; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Per Mae’s wishes there will be no ceremonies. She has requested to be cremated and interred next to her daughter, Sara, at Davenport Memorial Park. Mae was a prolific blood donor, blood donations in her name to Impact Life can be made.
