Manny was born in Havana Cuba on October 15, 1951. After his family left Cuba in 1960, his early years were spent in the U.S., Argentina, Uruguay, Australia. Manny was a competitive swimmer and baseball player. He attended St. Mary's High School in Greenwich, Conn., and Central Connecticut State University where he received B.A. in marketing, and he received an MBA in International Business. He worked in NYC at Crane Corporation.
Manny was always a nature loving and adventurous soul, and he left city life to do more travelling, Including joining a six-month scientific expedition to Antarctica. He moved to Omaha Nebraska where he fell in love with Michelle Schloemer and were married on September 5, 1998, and worked several years as a real estate agent and a certified CNA caring for elderly citizens in Omaha and Minnesota. Manny and Michelle moved to Davenport, Iowa in 2019 where he has enjoyed retirement, living near the mighty Mississippi and walking his beloved beagle, Maybelline, rain or shine.
He is survived by his wife Michelle of Davenport, Iowa, brother Ricardo Cadenas (sister in law Debbie) of Vero Beach, FL and sister Hilda Miller of Gainesville, FL; and nephews/nieces Richie, Deb, Tyler and Alexandra.
Manny will be missed by many who know him as a caring husband, brother and friend may he rest in peace with his heavenly father.
