

Margaret Ann “Peggy” Hahn, 63, of Lowden, IA; formerly of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 5, 2015 at 10:00 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Sunday from 2-4 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Peggy was born December 28, 1951 in Minneapolis; the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth (Matkovich) Hahn. She grew up in various parts of Davenport and had a special love for her grandparent’s farm. In younger years, she was a waitress and also worked in the print shop at Palmer College of Chiropractic for fifteen years. She then went on to work for Venture’s as an engraver and as a para-educator for the Davenport Community School District. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids who were all she ever talked about, taking road trips, camping, playing Yahtzee, spending time with her grandpuppies and cat and visiting family in Sigourney, Oskaloosa and Des Moines, IA. Those left to cherish her memories include her son, Joe and wife, Chris, Hahn, Walcott, IA; her grandkids: Meghan and Thomas “TR” Ganzer, Wheatland, IA and Aaron Hahn, Walcott; siblings: Edward “Jr.” and Candi Hahn; Steve and Cathie Hahn; Mary Jungjohann, all of Davenport and Richard “Dick” and Dana Hahn, Cambridge, IL and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins and her beloved cat, Gizmo. She was preceded in death by her parents.
