Mercy was a warm and kindhearted person to all, anyone would consider theirselves lucky to have met and known her. I was fortunate to had the chance to visit her before her passing. We feel blessed to have known her in our lifetime. God bless you Mercy and your family.

We moved in behind Nina (Mercy) 17 years ago. Our daughters became friends first and then as I got to know her more Nina became a great friend to me. There were many times we had our chats over the fence talking about our flowers and the kids. I am going to miss those talks very much and feel that the west end has lost a truly inspiring woman. She always had a smile for everyone no matter who you were. I read a book once called The Noticer, it was about a person that was refered to as Jones and what I interpreted to be the spirit of Christ and how he helped people to see past the negative and find the good in their daily lives. I feel that Nina was the Jones of the west end of Davenport and probably further reaching than I know. I do know I will miss her GREATLY and take comfort knowing she is with her Jones.
