Marie Anne Fraser

Marie A. Fraser, 85, of Davenport, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, July 14, 2016 at the Runge Mortuary, with an Order of the Eastern Star service at 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 at Rock Island Memorial Park. Following that, a memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Friday at Davenport First Presbyterian Church. Memorials may be made to Scott County Special Olympics or Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Online condolences may be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. A Rock Island native, Marie was a graduate of Illinois State (formerly Normal University) in 1952. She married Roderick Fraser in 1959. He preceded her in death in 1984. She taught in Rock Island and then in the Davenport Public School System until her retirement in 1991. Memberships include Davenport First Presbyterian Church, where she was a past Sunday School teacher; Trinity Chapter 541 OES; Mohassen Caldron and its clown unit; Scott County Family Y and was a Past PTA President. She enjoyed swimming, playing tennis, racquet ball, pickle ball, traveling to see her grandchildren and her backyard flowers. Survivors include her children: Bruce (Wendy) Fraser, Janice (Dan) Keitzer and Lisa (Dave) Flanagan and grandchildren: Mitchell, Corrine, Kendra, Keaton, Jerrod and Mari and several nieces and nephews.
