Funeral services for Marie J. “Jeanne” Sanchez, 80, of Davenport, will be 1:00 pm on Tueday, November 24, 2009 at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary, Davenport. Family will greet friends on Tuesday from noon until service time at the Mortuary. Burial will follow at the Rock Island National Cemetery, Rock Island. Marie passed away on Friday, November 21, 2009, at Fejervary Health Care Center, Davenport. Marie Jeanne Gassman was born on April 7, 1929 in Davenport. She married Ricardo Ramos Sanchez on August 2, 1967 in Cincinnati,OH. He preceded her in death on February 25, 2009. Marie was an avid reader, she ejnoyed gardening crocheting, and spending time with her grandchildren.Survivors include her sons; Allen (Cindy) Horak of Bettendorf, Howard Horak of FortWorth,TX, daughters; Barbara (Terry) Peters of Okeechobee, Fl, Kristin (Mark) Jacobs of Stafford, VA, 7 grandchildren; Sandy, Julie, Shauna, Karrie, Celina, Bobby, Megan and 5 great-grandchildren, Alex, Jasmine, Julianna, Cody and Colin, sisters; Eleanor Eagen of Davenport, Helen Powers of Davenport, Dee Dee Trevor of Corona,CAShe was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and a granddaugher Sheryl.Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Foundation.The family wishes to thank the entire staff of the Fejervary Health Care Center, for the wonderful care she received while a resident there and for the compassionate care from Hospice Compassus, Davenport.
